Batsi of Andros

Batsi is the social and commercial centre of numerous surrounding villages and hamlets. A picturesque resort, it spreads out amphitheatrically beneath St. Philip’s Church, overlooking a large, clean and fully organized sandbeach which was awarded a European blue flag.

This is a good spot for water skiing and windsurfing. The Hydroussa based “Adrias” sailing club meets all infrastructure and equipment requirements and offers both adult’s and children’s swimming and sailing lessons. Besides hotels and rental apartments, you will find a good choice of shops and Batsi's beach services, restaurants, taverns, ouzeries, bars and night clubs, as well as a branch of the National Bank of Greece (Ethniki). As you leave Batsi, if you turn off the seaside road just after the memorial monument (Heroon), a narrow road will lead you down to the beaches of Delavogia, Stivari and Ag. Marina.

Batsi If you stay on the main road to Chora, you can also drive north towards Katakilos and Ateni, where you’ll find two lovely sand beaches on either side of a Chapel dedicated to Our Lady. Both beaches are good for swimming and water sports (especially the smaller one, which is also more sheltered).
