The village of Aidonia is a beautiful small village near the bay of Korthi in the south, with lush vegetation, abundant water, famous mansions, towerhouses, stone rubble.
The region stands out for its beautiful dovecotes, samples of high architectural aesthetics.
Walk through the gorge, from where a footpath will lead you to the unique fountain of the village, the most beautiful laundress of the island (even today, women wash their clothes here).
The Church of the Forty Martyrs (“Agioi Saranta”) in Aidonia houses an ecclesiastic museum featuring gospels, religious vestments, old icons and other artifacts.
